Signs of Life

It was obvious

With the blank stare, bloody wrists, crimson pooled beneath his feet.

It was obvious

From the pain in his voice, the scars on his skin, you would have thought someone would have noticed.

It was obvious.

The anger in his steps, the screams hidden behind those eyes–

It was obvious–

His world was spinning, churning, moving faster than what he could cope with and still, no one noticed when he lost his step.

It was obvious–

You could see what was coming next.

Why couldn’t they see?

Why hadn’t they seen?

It was so obvious.

Obvious
